Life is like a Battle!

Life is most like a battle because you never know how a battle is going to turn out. You have all these choices to make and you get different weapons; but how you choose to use them is up to you. Some of these weapons would be like education. With a good education, your opportunities are endless. You'll be able to go anywhere! So if you substite life for a battle, education might give you an unlimited lives. Also, you'll have choices and that will impact the mission. A bad choice will make you lose troops and a good choice will give you more ammunition. You can come out on top, but the choice is yours!

Literature Circle Response #3

Hello bloggers and a special hello to my Literature Circle group mates, Andrianna, Melissa, Haneen, Hannah and Sara. Our discussions and Literature Circles are super and I can't wait to get into another one. In this section of our reading(Chapters 7-10 of Sketches by Eric Walters) Dana has encountered one of the many scary things on the streets. When Dana, Ashley, and Brent were squeegeeing, they met some unpleasant kids. After the incident, Dana was offered a knife for protection. She didn't take the knife happily, because she didn't think that she could do anything to anybody with it. So my question for you this week is; What do you think would be the breaking point for Dana to actually use the knife? If you were in the same situation, what would it take for you to use the knife? Let's keep up the good work up guys! I forgot to mention Arianna!

Assignment #9: If I had $100

Hello Bloggers! The past week we've been talking about how grateful we are and how we are very fortunate to live in a place like Canada. Unfortunately, others weren't so lucky. My class has decided to take action and help them. My teacher gave me $100 to spend in one of these organizations(Oxfam, World Vision, Salvation Army, or Plan Canada). I decided to go with Oxfam. They have the cheapest gifts and a wide variety, work world wide and are the most trusted. I partnered up with some of my friends which gave us a total of $400. We bought goats($116) for cheese and milk. A sheep($52) for meat and clothes. A flock of chickens($90) for eggs and meat, and a donkey($120) for food or labor. We also got clean, easy accessible water($20) for them as well. We gave water because most people have to walk very far to get water and most of the time it's not very clean or safe. We decided to give mostly livestock becuase livestock are very useful becuase you get food,clothes, and you get some labor with the donkey. This is why we chose them.

The Golden Rule

  The message of the golden rule is how you should live by that, depending on what religion you have. I am not aware of any tv shows or books that express this.I like the Hinduism one the best just because the way it is said. Plus, they're mostly the same.treat others the way you want to be treated.Things would be amazing because there'd be no wars, no discrimination etc.Because it is hard to with everything going on. Someone might be making fun of your skin colour and it's very hard to control yourself and walk away. That's one of the many situations that could happen. Take care!

Tolerance and Discrimination

Good Afternoon Bloggers! Here is a little about Tolerance and Discrimination. I think it 's very important so I have wrote a short story(totally fiction) to demonstrate the importance of it;

                   There was this school named Hillsdale Public School. Hillsdale was an excellent school where everyone succeeded and everybody. Then this new boy named Jacob comes to this heaven and feels shy at first. Since everybody is kind and welcoming, he soon finds himself with a lot friends. This makes him feel very confident and "cool", so he decided to start to pick on some other kids. Since the majority of the school is white, including him, he decides to pick on the Asian people. All the kids laugh at his racist jokes and soon enough, other people started to do it. Over the next few days, it started to get worse and the kids being picked on were being excluded and made fun of. Then it happened. Everything started to go crazy. They started playing and talking only with people with the same race or religion. The whole school was split up into groups. Only now did Jacob realize what he did to this utopia. He tried to get everyone to stop and go back to the way it was, but he just didn't know what to do. He decided to go to where it all began. He walked over to the group of Asians and gave the best apology he could think of. The Asian group said that they're only helping to restore the school the way it was. Together they started reuniting everybody back together. Soon enough, the deed was done. Everything was back to normal and Jacob was forgiven. The whole school learned a valuable lesson in this. "Treat other's the way you want to be treated"
